THE PLACEMAKERS is a unique blend of seasoned design professionals who bring years of international experience and knowledge to complex, large scale, urban and rural planning and design projects. We are a multi-disciplinary firm comprised of planners, urban designers, landscape architects. Our particular level of creativity and expertise in planning and design is tempered with a practical knowledge of China and Southeast Asia. We have completed numerous award winning projects in this Region and we understand the complexities within the local marketplace.
We focus on preserving the environmental character and sense of a place while integrating the economic realities of new uses and future change. Our success is based on our ability to perform within different cultures utilizing an integrated variety of design disciplines and planning techniques. Our professional directors are comprised of Chinese that have significant experience in the United States and of Americans that have practiced in Asia for over a decade.
